Health, Safety & Environmental Commitments
Alere are committed to delivering a ‘Zero Accident Culture’ as part of the responsibilities for all employees. Our people are our most important assets and as such we ensure that everyone joining Alere undertakes training in site ‘Basic Health & Safety Standards’.
We measure our accident levels and employee attendance levels through site Key Performance Indicators, which are regularly communicated to our people. This allows us to focus as a group on improving the safety of our employees at Alere.
We continue to have exceptional levels of attendance and very low accident rates, which gives a clear indication that we have a very robust working environment in place.

Stirling has a goal of being Audit Ready Everyday and as such our site Health & Safety systems are based on a goal of compliance and the sharing of information with all our people. Everyone is constantly encouraged to suggest improvements to make Alere a safer and better place for all.

Alere are commited to developing the business in an environmentally friendly way. As we have become part of the local Stirling community we have identified the following key areas of focus, which will assist us in determining the effectiveness of our Environmental Systems.

It is our aim to ensure (although our current impact levels are low), that by building our environmental awareness we can support the local community. We will me mindful of the environmental cost when we develop and introduce products, thus minimizing the environmental burden on end users and suppliers.
